We are Dreamers, Makers, Singers, and Shapers…
Hi All,
I remember my mother and grandmother talking about various entertainers passing away with a sense of wistfulness and remembrance of days gone by. And I can remember all too well, thinking, who are they talking about? That old singer?
Well now it seems it’s becoming more prevalent for me and my generation. It was reported today that Michael Ansara passed away. Who I hear you say? Well, he was one of those actors you register but never fully appreciate how prevalent they were until later in life.
Pegged as the original klingon in Star Trek, he appeared in the Time Tunnel, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Lost in Space, Buck Rodgers, and the Outer Limits to name but a few. But I remember him mostly as the Technomage Elric in Babylon 5.

These feel like strange days indeed, with the icons and giants of my younger self passing as all men must do. My childhood was so different to what my son’s will be. I hope that a sense of wonderment can survive this electronic age…
Travel safe,
H
I’ve noticed this phenomenon too. That, and the fact my parent’s generation are starting to drop off at an alarming rate, and we are the next ones in line.
Yeah. Sobering thought that.
