Conflict Of Interest

June 10, 2011

I pulled MIRV from the alliance last night. Combination of factors at work, but mostly because we were about to be thrown into conflict with some very old friends in EvE.

Hate it when long standing relationships with two or more parties are put at jeopardy because events are propelling each of them on a collision course. My corpmates and I talked it over (and over and over and over again just to be sure) before making the decision. It wasn’t done lightly. We were the second oldest corp still with the alliance. I think the original creators of the alliance were the only ones still hanging around from back in the day.

In the final analysis, staying wasn’t worth burning the friends we’ve made. So, we pulled the pin. We’re only small so it won’t be a huge loss to the alliance, but on the other hand we’re also capital capable.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the next while. There have been a couple of suggestions about joining up some alts to Red vs Blue just for fun, and a potential connection for heading into another null sec area (true null this time). Whether they want to take a small unit like us into an alliance as opposed to expecting individuals to come across, I don’t know yet.

Anyways. Politics. Ugh. Likes it I don’t.
